Currently, INSPECCO’s Personnel Certification services are limited to one of our most technically-expertise areas, welding, as described below.
Why might you want to become certified?
Whether you are a welder or welding contractor, there are likely various personnel certifications that your customers and the countries you operate in require for you to do your work.
What does certification involve?
Welding methods are evaluated based upon the welding procedures via supervising the welding process and evaluating the test results of the compliance of the welding methods used on site with the related standards.
INSPECCO’s welder certification services also involve the examination and subsequent certification of welders according to the related standards. Examinations include welders performing welds under the supervision of INSPECCO inspectors. The examination results are evaluated via Destructive and/or Non-Destructive Testing (DT/NDT) of the welded works. The welders must pass the examination to earn the given certification.
What types of Personnel Certification does INSPECCO offer and which one applies to you?
There are two basic types of Personnel Certification that INSPECCO offers. One is Performance Certification, which applies to individual welders and is a formal recognition of the welder’s ability to perform certain welding processes. The other type is Procedure Certification, which applies to welding contractors and is a formal recognition of the company’s ability to have their welders perform certain welding procedures/processes. Also, some of the Personnel Certification services we offer include both Performance Certification and Procedure Certification.
We offer the following Performance Certification services for welders:
TS EN ISO 9606-1 Certification: This certification is acknowledges a welder’s ability to perform fusion welding of steels.
TS EN ISO 9606-2 Certification: This certification is acknowledges a welder’s ability to perform fusion welding of aluminium and aluminium alloys.
TS EN 14732 Certification: This certification is acknowledges a welding operators ability to implement fusion welding and esistance weld setters for fully mechanized and automatic welding processes of metallic materials.
EN 13067 Certification: This certification acknowledges a welder’s ability to perform welding of plastics/thermoplastics.
We offer the following welding Procedure Certification services for welding contractors:
EN 15609 WPS Certification: This certification acknowledges a contractors ability to have their welders perform a specific set of welding procedures (specific to the given standard) of metallic materials
EN 15614 WPQR Certification: This certification acknowledges a contractors ability to have their welders perform a certain range of welding procedures (specific to the given standard) of metallic materials
The following services includes both Performance Certification for welders and Procedure Certification for welding contractors:
ASME Sec.IX WPS/WPQR Certification: The certification acknowledges a contractors ability to have their welders perform welding and brazing according to Code Sections for component manufacturing. It also acknowledges a welder’s ability to rules relating to the qualification and re-qualification of welders, brazers, and welding and brazing operators in order that they may perform welding or brazing as required by other Code Sections in the manufacture of components.
AWS B2.4. Certification: The certification acknowledges a contractors ability to have their welders perform a certain welding procedures (specific to the standard). It also acknowledges a welder’s ability to perform welding of thermoplastics.
API 1104 Certification: This standard presents methods for the production of high-quality welds through the use of qualified welders using approved welding procedures, materials, and equipment for pipelines and related facilities
AWS D1.1 WPS/WPQR Certification: This code covers the welding requirements for any type of welded structure made from the commonly used carbon and low-alloy constructional steels.
AWS D1.5 WPS/WPQR Certification: This certification acknowledges a welder’s ability to construct AASHTO welded highway bridges made from carbon and low-alloy constructional steels.
