How does CE marking work for lifting equipment?
Compliance with the Lifts Directive (95/16/EC) is required for lifting equipment (including safety components and whole lifts) being sold and installed in the European Economic Area (EEA). This directive covers all health and safety risks, thus ensuring that the products are safe for their intended applications before being sold or installed in the EEA.
It is the manufacturer’s and installer’s legal responsibility to verify that their lifting equipment complies with this directive before the product is sold or installed in the EEA by having a Notified Body certify conformity to the directive. This involves having a proper product design, installation procedures, and proper documentary evidence (i.e. test reports, etc.) to show that the product complies with all relevant criteria in the directive. INSPECCO assists clients in ensuring that they fulfill these requirements – upon successful completion of this, a certificate is issued to the client.
Why choose INSPECCO for these services?
As a global solution partner of the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), NANDO Notified Body Number 1783, INSPECCO is authorized to perform CE marking services on all types of lifting equipment according to the Lift Directive.
