Gas captured devices ce appliances-burning-gaseous-fuelOur manufacturer recently applied to us because the products are not passed from Germany. Because product documentation was not prepared according to gas categories used in Germany. Unfortunately, we have many manufacturers of similar situations to it. In this article, we will try to give information about “gas categories” which should take into account especially our export producers.

gas appliances manufacturers need to comply with the Regulation requirements on product design and manufacturing 2014/426/AB gas appliances. The regulation contains many criteria to be taken into consideration. notified bodies confirm that the device has been tested and controlled, and the safety requirements are provided. The tests on the device show headlightness according to the intended gas types. Therefore, it is necessary to test the device according to the gas schades of all countries intended to be used, and to identify it on the document. Therefore, at the beginning of the certification stage, the determination of the country and gas variables will be appropriate. Only in Turkey, the document is considered to be used, and the negativeness of the device is experienced in export to other EU countries.

Selecting the correct gas category and documenting accordingly InspeccoYou can apply to . Inspecco 2459 No notified body. Below you can find basic definitions and tables about gas categories.

Why is the category necessary, what is the group of gas, the family of gas?

Category allows the device to detect gas families and/or gas groups designed for safe and desired combustion at the desired level of performance.
The gas group refers to a specific Wobbe index range within the gas family.
The gas family refers to the group of gas fuels, connected together with an Wobbe index range, similar combustion behaviour.

Gas Categories by Countries

Single Categories

Gas captured devices single categories

a) Specified in special device standards, only categories that can be applied to certain types of devices.
b) categories that can only be applied to certain types of devices available for on-site EC verification process.
c) See article B.6.
d) Only category which can be applied to devices located in caravans or motor caravans.

The “(?)” mark next to country names is that the country does not specify its preference for the gas category.

Double Categories

gas captured devices double categories

a) Specified in special device standards, only categories that can be applied to certain types of devices.
b) Categories that can only be applied to certain types of devices available for the EC verification process on-site
c) Devices in this category, set for menup H group gases to the second family, without further experiments in the same feeding pressure, gross Wobbe indi (15 °C temperature and 1013,25 mbar pressure) 46 with MJ/M3 51,5 It can use air and ticarî propan gas mixtures between MJ/m3.

The “(?)” mark next to country names is that the country does not specify its preference for the gas category.

Other Countries

Statements of gas categories

Category I: The devices entering the Category I were designed specifically for the use of a single gas family or a single gas group of mensup gases.

Category I1a : Only in the pre-determined feeding pressure, devices using menup gases in the group of the first family (this category is not used).

Category I2H: Only devices using menup gases to the H group of the second family in the predetermined feeding pressure.

Category I2L: Only devices that use menup gases to the L group of the second family in the predetermined feeding pressure.

Category I2E: Only devices that use menup gases to the E group of the second family in the predefined feeding pressure.

Category I2E+: Only devices that use menup gases to the E group of the second family and run with a pressure pair without any adjustment on the device. The device regulates the gas pressure tertibat does not work in pressures between the two normal pressure values of the pressure pair.

Category I2N: Only devices that use the second family gases in the pre-determined feeding pressure and adapt to the second family automatically to menup and all gases.

Category I2R : H, E, L and LL devices with an adjustable pressure regulator manually, to use each of the gas groups

Category I3B/P: Devices that can use third-family gases (propan and bentan) in the predefined feeding pressure.

Category I3+: Devices that can use menup gases (propan and bentan) to the third family and run with a pressure pair without the need to adjust the device. However, for certain types of devices specified in special standards, it can be allowed to adjust the primary combustion air while the propatane or butyl propana is passed. No gas pressure regulator in these devices is not assigned to tertibata.

Category I3P: Devices using menup gases (propan) to the P group of the third family in the pre-determined feeding pressure.

Category I3B: Only in the pre-determined feeding pressure, devices using menup gases (bütan) to the group B of the third family.

Category I3R: In order to use various gases in a group of third families in the terms of distribution of Mahallî, devices with a gas regulator that uses men and all gases to the third family that can be adjusted manually

Category II1a2H: Devices that can use gases in the group of the first family and in the H group of the second family. The first family gases are used in the same conditions as Category I1a. The second family gases are used in the same conditions as Category I2H.
